Just returned from the AidEx – The Global Humanitarian Aid Event conference in Geneva, where our team comprising Lasse, Rebecca, and Jason, had an exceptional experience.
Rebecca shared her impressions of her inaugural journey with JGH:
“At the event, a diverse mix of suppliers, UN entities, NGOs, and private companies converged to address urgent humanitarian and climate challenges. The significance of collaboration was evident across a spectrum of forums we participated in, spanning from seminars to panel debates.
Key Takeaways:
▪️ Intersectoral partnerships play a vital role in addressing intricate problems.
▪️ Supply chain solutions are instrumental in delivering aid efficiently, and logistics officers deserve a place at the strategic decision-making table.
▪️ Striking a balance between technical solutions, governance, and systemic transformation is imperative.
We capitalized on the opportunity to connect with UN representatives, explore potential collaborations with suppliers, and even engaged in amicable dialogues with our industry peers.
A single word reverberated throughout the conference: ‘coopetition.’ We frequently collaborate with organizations pursuing diverse objectives within the humanitarian and development sectors. It is high time to identify common ground, pool resources, and collectively offer the solutions our world urgently requires.
Change starts with ‘food for thought.”
