In June, the Acting Minister for Fisheries in the Kingdom of Tonga announced 2023 as the “Year of Prosperity,” aiming to bolster the island nation’s economy and health by uplifting the fisheries sector.

Our part?
Our second project with the Ministry of Fisheries has recently set sail: The project involves delivering and commissioning 32 small fishing boats and 3 patrol boats to Tonga.
As part of the project kickoff, Haishan, Alex, Tom, and Jason went to the Philippines last week to meet our manufacturing partners and to launch the manufacturing.
What’s exciting about this project?
These boats are part of the larger TONGAFISH project, which aims to reinvigorate the marine economy in the Kingdom of Tonga, creating new business and employment opportunities for the local communities.
We are proud to play a small part in this exciting endeavor and look forward to delivering this equipment in the coming months!
